Re: Mrs. Black. Actually, she was not that old in 1967. She died around 1989 at the age of 66 or so of colon cancer. I once visited her in Oregon where she retired. She would have only been around 44 or 45 when you had her. she just always looked old. As she aged her looks did not change and she then looked younger than her years. In the summer of 1962, I cruised down the Imperial Beach Strip at midnight and picked Dan Caywood up at Jack in the box. Dan and I went grunion hunting. We caught five gallon bucket of little fish. We were at the sleuths south of Jesse’s second hand shop on First Street. I believe First Street is now Seacoast Drive. Dan and I had a good time that summer. Just saw that Ron Kammerer had died some time ago. He was one fast dude. If I remember right he broke 10 seconds in the 100 yard dash.
