The are pics of when Bobby Taylor and Charlie Lord raced Charlie's 51 ford and the greenweenee 1 and 2. these were from lions drag strip in long beach. When Charlie was in school the car was black and Eli, Bobby's uncle painted it yellow at browns field. |

| In it's day it
held the speed record for it's class. Bobby and I did this at Ramona ca.
at 101 mph. We even played with running alcohol in it and it really ran fast, except for one problem the alcohol dissolved all the rubber fuel lines. It was funny. - Charlie |
Charlie Lord's '23 Ford "T" bucket, the engine is a blown 350 C.I. chevy, with 2 holly 4 bar. carbs. it has a 700R4 chevy 4 speed auto. trans. with 391 Dodge gears in the rear end, it puts out about 400 hp. to the rear wheels and has 18" wide tires on the back, lic plate reads "TNA 4 C". |
